Academics

OUR ACADEMIC PROGRAM...

For over two decades, Victory Christian Center School has had a consistent record of academic achievement.  VCCS has self-contained traditional classrooms with low pupil/teacher ratios. Heavy emphasis is placed on God’s principles through daily Bible study, prayer, memory work, and a weekly chapel service. Academic training, which is Christ-centered, includes a phonics oriented reading program, English, history, spelling, science, penmanship, math, literature, P.E., music, art, etc. We are teaching these courses from a variety of the best curricula in the United States.  VCCS is fully accredited from the  Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS/CASI) International Christian Accrediting Association; Registered with the North Carolina State Department of Non-Public Instruction..

Because of high Stanford Achievement Test scores, over 70 VCCS students have been selected to participate in Duke University’s Talent Identification Program for academically gifted students. In 2009, fourth grader Gabriel Moore scored in the 95th percentile or greater in 11 out of 12 academic areas, and seventh grader Tia Vanardo’s score met the percentile in nine out of 12 academic areas to qualify for this prestigious program.  Also, over the school’s history, nine students were National Merit or National Achievement Scholarship finalists. The Class of 2009 valedictorian, Janae Jackson, was awarded a National Achievement Scholarship.
